STI Clinical Trials Dashboard

The STI Clinical Trials Dashboard provides information about trials focused on vaccines, diagnostics, and the use of doxycycline post-exposure prophylaxis (DoxyPEP) to detect, treat, and prevent chlamydia, gonorrhea, hepatitis B, herpes simplex virus (HSV), human papillomavirus, syphilis, trichomoniasis infections, and Mycoplasma genitalium.

This information is derived from the following databases: the Australian New Zealand Clinical Trials Registry (ANZCTR), the Clinical Trials Community (CTC) platform, ClinicalTrials.gov, and the Pan African Clinical Trials Registry (PACTR). This dashboard provides an overview of active trials working towards the goal of producing products to one day prevent, detect and treat STIs. This dashboard contains information about STI clinical trials by pathogen, country, key population, and trial purpose and phase.

Of note, when displaying trials focused on STI vaccine development, only prophylactic vaccines were included in this category. Only trials listed as active as of June 2024, have been included in this dashboard and trials that include more than one pathogen have been classified as “multi-pathogen trials”.

If you notice a trial you are involved in is not listed in this database, please use our trials submission form to submit this information.
